Where is the fly screen fitted?

All fly screens are fitted directly to the window or door. Depending on the product, they are installed either on the inside of the window/door frame, on the outside of the window/door frame or in the wall reveal.

Are fly screens also suitable for pets?

Our products such as door curtains, swing doors and cat flaps allow pets to pass through freely, while the anti-claw fabric, which can be found in the fabric accessories, effectively protects the fly screen from animal claws.

Can fly screens be installed in rented apartments without damaging them?

Many of our insect screen products can be attached without drilling using clips, hooks, Velcro strips or adhesives, ideal for rented apartments, and can be removed without leaving any residue.

What should I watch out for during use?

Do not leave children alone with the product to avoid the risk of suffocation, strangulation and injury. Keep children away from open windows, as fly screens do not provide fall protection.

How should the insect screen be cleaned?

To clean aluminum profiles and fabric, it is best to use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent.

How can a right angle be checked with the measuring tape?

Measure both diagonals with the tape measure. If they are the same length, your insect screen product is at a right angle.

What is the best way to shorten aluminum profiles?

It is best to use a hacksaw to shorten aluminum profiles. Place the parts in a mitre box and fix them in place to achieve an exactly straight cut. As a safety measure, we recommend wearing work gloves.

Can an insect screen frame be customized?

Yes, all frame profiles can be cut to size using a saw. Precise cutting is best carried out using a mitre box. Please follow the enclosed installation instructions.

How far can the roller blind be shortened?

A roller blind for windows or doors can be shortened to a cassette length of 60 cm or 70 cm. If the width is smaller, the torsion spring would have to be removed and also shortened to ensure continued functionality.

What do I need to bear in mind when edging fly screens?

The flyscreen must not be additionally tensioned during the kedering process. The mesh tensions itself during the welting process. If the fly screen is additionally tensioned during kedering, the frame may warp.
